Abstract

In this research/experimental study there was a problem, namely the lack of student activity in the process of a lesson where some students only listened to the teaching material presented/explained by the teacher but did not understand the material that had been presented. Based on the problems above, this research/experiment uses a problem-based learning strategy to improve student learning outcomes in social studies in class VI SD Brigjend Katamso II. This research is a qualitative experimental research by selecting class/level VI students as the object of this study devoted to knowing the learning outcomes of students/students, especially in social studies subjects. In this research study, researchers used research instruments in the form of a test and non-test. As for the test by giving questions to students and non-test in the form of interviews or from observation. The results of this study indicate that the student learning outcomes are quite good, which can be seen from the learning completeness results of 80% with an average score of 75 to 90 from 32 students.
