This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Jigsaw learning model in teaching Indonesian language, particularly in narrative text materials for third-grade students at SDN Kepatihan. The research utilized Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, involving 13 students across several learning cycles. The Jigsaw model was implemented to enhance students' understanding of intrinsic elements of narrative texts, such as themes, plots, and characters, while also fostering social skills like teamwork and communication. The findings indicate an improvement in students' average scores from one cycle to the next, with most students achieving the minimum competency standard. However, some challenges were identified, including differences in students' abilities, limited collaboration skills, and inefficient time management. By addressing these issues, the Jigsaw model has proven to be an effective and interactive approach for improving the quality of Indonesian language instruction at the primary school level. This study offers valuable insights for educators in developing more engaging and meaningful teaching strategies.
