Abstract

Bullying is an act of bullying committed by one individual to another, usually in the form of verbal or nonverbal, which occurs at almost all levels of education, which of course greatly affects the academic aspect.  This study aims to determine how the role of teachers in overcoming and preventing bullying at Putra Harapan Bangsa Elementary School. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and literature studies, then analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and techniques. Teachers act as educators, motivators, facilitators, and role models in preventing bullying. The holistic approach involves collaboration with students and parents to create an inclusive school culture. A collaborative approach with counselors helps teachers recognize signs of bullying and provide appropriate interventions. By instilling empathy, tolerance and healthy communication, teachers can build positive social norms in schools. Bullying prevention requires a sustainable approach that involves all stakeholders in the school. Teachers have a key role in shaping a safe learning environment and building positive student character. A holistic and collaborative approach is an effective strategy to address bullying in schools.
