Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning based on the Independent Curriculum at SMA N 1 Wuryantoro. The research method uses qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using miles and Huberman. Data validity testing uses triangulation based on two methods, namely source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of this research show how the implementation of PAI learning based on the independent curriculum at SMA N 1 Wuryantoro has increased student participation and provided space for character development and critical thinking skills. However, there are opportunities and challenges faced in terms of teacher readiness and the provision of adequate learning resources. This research discusses the impact of independent curriculum-based learning on student learning outcomes in PAI. So it is necessary to recommend continuous training for teachers and the development of materials that suit student characteristics. In this way, it is hoped that PAI learning can run more effectively and be relevant to the needs of the times.
