Abstract

Education is one of the essential pillars in nation-building, and Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) has a significant responsibility in shaping intellectually intelligent generations with high moral and spiritual integrity. This study aims to develop Islamic economics-based teaching materials for grade X students at MAN 1 Ternate. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The research results indicate that the current economics teaching materials are still dominated by conventional, materialistic economic concepts. The development of Islamic economics-based teaching materials integrates sharia principles such as justice, partnership, and sustainability, tailored to the social, cultural, and economic conditions in Ternate. The developed teaching materials show a positive impact on students' understanding and learning motivation, where students are better able to understand and explain Islamic economic concepts and are more motivated to learn economics. This study has important implications for curriculum development at MAN and highlights the need for support and training for teachers to effectively teach Islamic economics.
