ANALISIS PERILAKU KONSUMEN USIA PRODUKTIF DAN DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP PENCEMARAN SAMPAH PLASTIK DI KOTA PAMEKASAN

Abstract

This research investigates the behavior of productive age consumers in Pamekasan regarding plastic waste pollution. Plastic waste has become a serious global problem, and Indonesia is one of the countries that contributes significantly to this problem (Lebreton et al., 2017). Pamekasan, as part of Indonesia, also faces similar challenges (Setyaningsih, 2020). The main objective of this research is to identify factors that influence the behavior of productive age consumers towards plastic waste, as well as to formulate steps that can increase their awareness and participation in plastic waste management. This research takes a qualitative analysis approach using interviews and case studies. From the results of this research, it is hoped that awareness and participation of productive age consumers in Pamekasan in managing plastic waste will increase, which in the end can reduce the negative impact of plastic waste on the environment and public health. This research provides a strong basis for formulating more effective policies and strategies in dealing with the problem of plastic waste pollution, not only in Pamekasan but also in other areas with similar challenges.
