Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of Indonesian language learning in developing the religious character of students at MTsN 2 Tidore. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results show that Indonesian language teachers consistently integrate religious values into the learning process through various methods such as story-based learning, group discussions, reflective writing, and community service projects. The findings indicate that students are able to internalize and apply religious values in their daily lives, despite challenges in the form of limited resources and training for teachers. Therefore, support from the school and government is crucial to strengthen the development of value-based curricula. These findings are expected to serve as a model for improving religious character education in other schools in Indonesia.
