This study aims to implement a culture-based learning method in Indonesian language teaching at MTsN 2 Tidore Kepulauan through Classroom Action Research (CAR). This method integrates local cultural elements into the teaching and learning process and is conducted in two cycles, including planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects are 32 students of class VIII-A. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results show that the culture-based learning method enhances student activity and learning outcomes. In cycle I, 65% of students were active, and 68% achieved the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). After improvements in cycle II, 84% of students were active, and 81% achieved the KKM. The conclusion is that this method effectively improves the quality of Indonesian language learning by integrating local culture, making it easier for students to understand the material and engage actively in the learning process. Further research is recommended to explore the implementation of this method in a broader and more diverse context.
