PERAN KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK DI MTS BAABUL JANNAH KOTATERNATE

Abstract

The formation of students' characters is an important aspect in education that requires serious attention from various parties in educational institutions. This study explores the process of character formation of students at MTs Baabul Jannah Muda Sentosa through a series of interviews with the head of the madrasah, teachers, and students. The interview results highlight supporting factors such as the madrasah environment located in a pesantren environment, student awareness, cooperation between the school and parents, as well as the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure. However, there are also inhibiting factors such as changes in the environment or internal challenges within the students. Awareness of these factors serves as a basis for optimizing the character formation process. In this context, collaboration between the head of the madrasah, teachers, and students is key in creating an educational environment that supports the development of good and positive characters. This research emphasizes the importance of active participation from all parties in achieving the desired goals of character education in educational institutions.
