EVALUASI HAMBATAN DALAM MEMBACA DAN MEMAHAMI MATERI BAHASA INGGRIS PADA SISWA KELAS 8 DI MTS 1 TERNATE

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the level of interest and engagement of students in learning and understanding English at MTsN 1 Ternate. By analyzing interview results from 35 students, this study identifies that the majority of students exhibit a significant lack of interest. Factors such as the inadequacy of learning materials, less engaging teaching methods, and external constraints, such as mental health issues, contribute to this low level of interest. Through this evaluation, the research provides recommendations for improvement in the form of revising materials, developing innovative teaching methods, and strengthening student welfare support.
