Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to discuss the importance of religious moderation among Indonesian people in particular in Madrasah Aliyah An-Nur district of Halmahera Bara in Maluku North with a diverse background of beliefs and religions. In an effort to strengthen the role of Madrasha Aliyah Al-Nour district in combating radicalism and extremism, the internalization of the religious Moderation in the learning process becomes important. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach to deepen the meaning and process. The results show that religious moderation is not taught formally, but is integrated into everyday learning. Factors influencing the spirit of religious Moderation of students of Madrasah Aliyah An-Nur district of West Halmahera Maluku North include modern thinking and active involvement in activities. Students practice moderation by advising each other, creating care among classmates.
