Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in student learning outcomes by applying the Concept Attainment learning model in the Social and Cultural Appearance material at SD IT Ustman Bin Ali Medan. The type of research used is classroom action research. The subjects in this study were 18 students. The data collection technique is through student learning outcomes tests, student activity observation sheets, teacher activity observation sheets. The conclusion of this study is "The application of the Concept Attainment learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the matter of social and cultural natural appearances for class III SD IT Ustman Bin Ali Medan. This is evidenced by the increasing percentage of student learning outcomes in each cycle, during the pre-cycle implementation, student learning outcomes were still below the KKM with a completeness percentage of only 16.67%, while in cycle I student learning outcomes increased but not yet maximal, namely 38.88% after implementation of cycle II student learning outcomes are getting better, where the percentage of students who complete reaches 88.88 of the total number of students.
