Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes and by using the Discovery Learning learning model in class VII-2 SMP Negeri 2 Tigapanah. The subject of this research was taken in class VII-2 of SMP Negeri 2 Tigapanah with 28 students. Based on the research conducted, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) Cognitive learning outcomes of students by applying the discovery learning learning model in the first cycle of students complete as many as 13 people while the class is incomplete. Cycle II students completed as many as 24 people and class complete that is equal to 85.71%. Thus there is complete learning outcomes and learning activities in science subjects in class VII-2 SMP Negeri 2 Tigapanah for the 2021/2022 academic year. Thus there is an increase in student learning outcomes and mastery in science subjects in class VII-2 SMP Negeri 2 Tigapanah Academic Year 2021/2022; 2). Based on the research data above, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes in class VII-2 SMP Negeri 2 Tigapanah. This is because students are familiar with the application of the Discovery Learning learning model so that students' cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes increase and increase the feeling of pleasure when students take part in class learning.
