IDENTIFIKASI KESALAHAN PENGGUNAAN HURUF KAPITAL DAN TANDA BACA DALAM TULISAN SISWA KELAS IV DI UPTD SDN DEMANGAN 1

This study identifies errors in the use of capital letters and punctuation in the writing of fourth grade students at UPTD SDN Demangan 1. Indonesian language functions as an important communication tool in education, and good writing is needed to convey ideas clearly. This study aims to identify the mistakes that students often make and the factors that cause them in writing. The method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach, involving 40 students and one homeroom teacher. The results showed that the most common errors occurred in the writing of capital letters at the beginning of sentences (64%) and the use of full stops (69,2%). Factors causing errors include lack of understanding of writing rules, inattention to sentence context, lack of practice, and the influence of technology. The article also provides recommendations for teachers to improve Indonesian language learning through systematic teaching, feedback and interesting learning methods.
