Abstract

Operant conditioning involves learning from the consequences of our behavior. Skinner was not the first psychologist to study learning with consequences because Skinner's theory of operant conditioning was built on the ideas of Edward Thorndike. The purpose of this research is to review learning theories in behavioral, cognitive, constructive, human, and social traditions to identify learning principles local to those theories that may represent specific examples of universal principles, essentially necessary for facilitation. learning in general. By means of textual research through a defined lens methodology to identify general themes and by means of constant comparative analysis these themes are further developed through the analysis and classification of specific examples of themes in the texts once reviewed.
