Abstract

This research aims to examine the concept of Islamization of Science according to the views of Muslim intellectuals, namely Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi and Syed Muhammad Naquib Al Attas. Islamization arises because it raises the concerns of Muslim intellectuals who see Muslims in crisis due to the application of secular-based Western science. The secular concept in science is incompatible with Muslims because it separates religion from science. The concept of Islamization of Science as envisioned by Ismail Raji al-Faruqi and Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas aims to integrate Islamic principles and values into the scientific realm. This approach seeks to harmonize modern science with Islamic teachings, overcoming the perceived dichotomy between Western secular science and Islamic science. This research uses qualitative research with the type of Library Research. With documentation data collection techniques, namely extracting heirloom materials that are cohesive with the intended object of discussion. While the data analysis used uses descriptive analysis so as to produce findings on the concept of science Islamization in the views of Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi and Syed Muhammad Naquib Al Attas.
