PENGARUH MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN YOUTUBE TERHADAP TINGKAT PEMAHAMAN MATERI MAHASISWA

The level of understanding of a person's material can be influenced by several factors, one of which is YouTube learning media. With YouTube learning media, someone will get an increase in understanding material or other information. YouTube provides a more efficient space and time for those who access it, while also providing encouragement for learning motivation because of videos that can be played repeatedly. Therefore, this study was made aiming to find out whether YouTube learning media has an influence on the level of understanding of the material. The population of this study were students of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, University of Mercu Buana Yogyakarta, class of 2021 with a total of 266 students. And the samples obtained from the results of calculations using the slovin theory with a 5% leeway percentage were 160 respondents. The instrument used in this study was a YouTube learning media questionnaire and the level of understanding that had been corrected by the researcher. This type of research is quantitative research with a mixed-methods approach. The data obtained were then analyzed using SPSS software. The results of the study show that YouTube learning media has an influence on the level of understanding of the material. The effect is 58.6% while the other 41.4% is influenced by other variables that have not been studied. So that further researchers can follow up on other variables that affect the level of understanding of the material apart from the YouTube learning media variable.
