Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Aqidah Akhlak teaching methods at MTsN 1 Kepulauan Sula in enhancing students' spiritual awareness and character. The teaching methods examined include lectures, group discussions, role-playing, and interactive learning media. The results indicate that interactive methods such as discussions and role-playing, along with the use of engaging learning media, positively impact students' understanding and application of ethical values. In contrast, traditional lecture methods are less effective in increasing student engagement. The main challenge identified is the low spiritual awareness among students, influenced by social environment factors and family support. Strategies involving extracurricular activities and family support are effective in improving spiritual awareness and the application of ethical values in daily life. This study emphasizes the need for more interactive and participatory teaching approaches, as well as support from families and communities, to achieve optimal outcomes in Aqidah Akhlak education.
