This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of using social media in improving the English writing skills of 11th-grade students at MAN 1 Ternate. With the rapid development of technology, social media has become an integral part of teenagers' daily lives. This study explores the potential of social media platforms as innovative and engaging tools for learning English. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design. The research sample consists of 60 11th-grade students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group was given an intervention in the form of social media use in English writing instruction for 8 weeks, while the control group followed conventional learning methods. Data was collected through writing tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The results show a significant improvement in English writing skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the use of social media can be an effective strategy to enhance students' English writing skills.
