PENANANAMAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI PONDOK PESANTREN DARUSALAM, MOJOGEDANG, KARANGANYAR

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools as formal or non-formal educational institutions have a role and responsibility in carrying out the mission of character education. An ustadz/teacher must design learning, recognize the students' level of knowledge, motivate them and carry out fun learning. This research uses a qualitative research method that systematically describes the facts found in the field. The cultivation of character education at the Darusalam Islamic Boarding School includes several aspects, including through the Al Qur'an and santri etiquette, the daily worship of the santri. Apart from that, the role of the ustadz is very influential in it and also the role of parents is no less important. The obstacles that usually occur in realizing character cultivation are a lack of human resources from student guardians, inadequate communication and an unsupportive environment.
