Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of supervision on the personality and skills of Islamic Education teachers and its impact on student learning outcomes at SMP N 1 Kepulauan Sula. Employing a quantitative approach with ex post facto research design, this study involved all Islamic Education teachers in the school as samples. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using path analysis. The results show that supervision has a positive and significant effect on teachers' personality (β = 0.423, p < 0.05) and skills (β = 0.512, p < 0.01). Teachers' personality and skills also positively influence student learning outcomes (β = 0.378, p < 0.05; β = 0.456, p < 0.01). Additionally, a significant direct effect of supervision on student learning outcomes was found (β = 0.312, p < 0.05). This study concludes that effective supervision can improve the quality of Islamic Education teachers and student learning outcomes in island regions. Recommendations include developing a comprehensive and contextual supervision model, as well as increasing resource support to optimize the supervision process in island areas.
