Abstract

The science learning outcomes achieved by SMP Negeri 4 Sakti students in the Pressure Concept material were less than satisfactory. Many students feel bored and lack enthusiasm in learning. This is because teachers do not provide a variety of methods in their learning. The aim of the research is to improve learning outcomes for Science-Physics on the main subject of pressure in class VIII-A students at SMP Negeri 4 Sakti for the 2020/2021 academic year through the application of the PROBEX model. The research method is to carry out classroom actions, which consist of 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of the research show that the application of the PROBEX Model can improve science learning outcomes in the main material. Pressure in class VIII-A students at SMP Negeri 4 Sakti for the 2020/2021 academic year, namely before the completion improvement was only 36%, after the first cycle it reached 64.28% and after implementation of cycle II reached 78.5%. Suggestions made by teachers in the learning process so that student activity and learning achievement increase are teachers should provide ample opportunities for students to understand the material and provide guidance so that students can be more active in teaching and learning activities, and schools provide more complete learning resources, especially learning media in the form of practical equipment so that it can support the implementation of learning.
