Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to determine the role of the Madrasah Principal in improving the quality of education, particularly at MTs Alkhairat Ternate. The strategic role of the madrasah principal in directing and developing the madrasah towards excellence is crucial. In this process, the madrasah principal has implemented several strategies, including ensuring adequate resources, preparing efficient teaching methods, and overseeing professional development programs for staff. Moreover, the madrasah principal also inspires teachers and staff, creates a conducive learning environment, and maintains discipline within the madrasah environment. The quality of education at MTs Alkhairaat Ternate is reflected in the high academic achievements of students and the quality of graduates. However, there is still potential to improve educational outcomes, particularly in terms of curriculum innovation and enhancing communication, both internally and externally. To enhance the quality of education, the madrasah principal needs to continue to play a role as a leader, innovator, motivator, and entrepreneur within the school environment. Democratic leadership and involving all stakeholders in decision-making and madrasah development towards a better direction remain essential. Thus, the leadership of the madrasah principal plays a key role in realizing the vision, mission, and goals of education at MTs Alkhairaat Ternate and improving the overall quality of education.
