Abstract

PAIKEM is an approach to learning that requires active student involvement, provides broad opportunities for students to explore information, identify and solve problems and build their own concepts they want to learn. . With the PAIKEM approach, it is hoped that it can increase students' attention in participating in learning while at the same time maximizing student learning outcomes. This research uses a type of qualitative research, with the type of classroom action research (CAR). The purpose of this research is to find out the application of the PAIKEM model to the english learning subject at MTsN 1 Ternate The results showed that the application of PAIKEM in increasing student motivation in MTsN 1 Ternate is still not optimal. Because many subject teachers, especially the Aqidah Akhlak subject teachers, are not optimal in implementing PAIKEM in class.
