STRATEGI PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER SISWA DI SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 3 CAWAS

The character building of student discipline can be formed through school culture which is identified through several elements, namely school infrastructure, rules or regulations held by school members, routine ceremonies, and values adopted or believed by school members. This research was conducted in a survey or qualitative manner by observing the school and interviewing one of the teachers at the school. The character building of Muhammadiyah 3 Cawas Junior High School students cannot escape several important roles, one of which is the role of homeroom teachers in assisting the teacher in charge of counselling guidance in disciplining students. The success of students is largely determined by homeroom teachers, especially in learning. Homeroom teachers have more roles than subject teachers who are only responsible for the learning process, but are also responsible for fostering and guiding their students. Advice to students to always obey the rules the second form of exemplary work done by teachers in student character building. Third, providing motivation to students through lectures Fourth, a form of cooperation between teachers and parents to educate students fifth, giving punishment to students to educate students to have noble character.
