PENINGKATAN MINAT DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR BIOLOGI DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PROYEK DI MAN 2 HALMAHERA TENGAH

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to enhance the level of engagement, interest, and academic achievement of tenth-grade students at MAN 2 Halmahera Tengah through the Implementation of Project-Based Learning Model. This study falls under the category of classroom action research, involving four stages: planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection. The assessment of teacher and student activities utilized observation sheets, while student interest was measured through a questionnaire, and learning outcomes were analyzed using test questions. In the first cycle, student engagement reached 69%, increased to 83% in the second cycle, and reached its peak in the third cycle at 94%. Meanwhile, the observation results indicated that teacher activities were 65% in the first cycle, increased to 77% in the second cycle, and reached 94% in the third cycle. According to the survey results, student interest was 59% in the first cycle, increased to 73% in the second cycle, and reached 86% in the third cycle. The classical completeness rate in the first cycle was 64%, increased to 73% in the second cycle, and reached 86% in the third cycle. Based on the conducted analysis, it can be concluded that the Implementation of the Project-Based Learning Model successfully increased the levels of engagement, interest, and academic achievement of students at MAN 2 Halmahera Tengah.
